The US 83 project limits are from .22 miles south of Lasso Lane to 0.28 miles north of FM 2687, 6.36 miles. Expansion of US 83 from 2 lanes to 4 lanes additional improvements include 10’ outside shoulders, 4’ inside shoulders, 12’ shoulders for hurricane evacuation on northbound roadway. In addition, crossover roadways throughout the project area and undivided sections with 16’ center turn lane and 10’ shoulders.
IOC Company, LLC is the prime contractor on this project. The project is to construct a divided highway, main lanes realignment and reconstruction and widening of existing roadway.
